Brown County Hosts Pecan Tour Sept. 26
Brown County will host a Texas Cooperative Extension multi-county pecan tour starting with registration at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 26 at the Brownwood Pecan Field Station at 701 CC Woodson Road in Brownwood.

A tour of the station will start at 10 a.m. until noon. Two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered.

"This has been an interesting year for pecan management," says Scott Anderson, Extension agent in Brown County. "All the rain we've been having has been great, but it has sure created some interesting challenges for our area's pecan growers.
