Popular bridge tour Oct. 6
Versatile art-historians Shannon Gackstatter and Teressa Swope-Hatfield will lead the popular Historical Stone Bridges of Cowley County Tour.

It will be departing at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, from the Arkansas City Area Arts Council's Burford Building in downtown Arkansas City.

The tour will not only showcase the historical stone bridges of the area, but will include a noon lunch provided by the Chuckwagon Crew.

Since 1997, the tours have become the most successful touring program in the state with more than 2,000 people from all over the United States and various foreign countries participating.
