State captures award for ‘Pure Michigan’ campaign
state’s efforts to increase the tourism industry’s role in Michigan’s new economy showed some signs of progress last month when its “Pure Michigan” campaign was recognized as the best tourism campaign in the country.

Last week, Rep. Terry Brown, D-Pigeon, praised the award-winning "Pure Michigan" advertising campaign and the state's travel website, saying they play a vital role in making Michigan a top destinations for travelers.

Brown said both tools fit with his efforts to expand Michigan's multibillion-dollar tourism industry, which pumps badly needed dollars into local communities and creates jobs for our residents.
